  • Take shorter showers. You could save up to 45 gallons of water by taking five minutes in the shower instead of ten. You’ll save over 16,000 gallons of water a year.
  • Pull out the rubber gloves...and save. A dishwasher uses three to five times the amount of water as washing by hand.
  • Only wash full loads in your dishwasher. Allowing pots and pans to soak before washing is also beneficial.
  • Rather then running your tap to get cool drinking water, place a bottle or jug filled with water in your fridge.
  • Install water pressure-reducing valves to cut the PSI (pounds per square inch) of your water flow. This will stop unnecessarily strong water pressure which results in greatly reduced water loss.
